BATHURST SATURDAY – TIM SLADE / ANDRE HEIMGARTNER

TODAY'S TIMES

Practice Six – All Drivers

Position: 14 – 2:06.5300

Fastest: David Reynolds/Luke Youlden: 2:04.9948

After the withdrawal of Ash Walsh due to injury, today’s final practice session took on extra importance as the Freightliner Racing team worked to accommodate both Tim Slade and Andre Heimgartner comfortably. It was also critical to get Andre used to the Freightliner Racing Commodore. The team will continue to work through the afternoon and evening to give the new driver pairing the best chance of success in tomorrow’s Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.

THE WORD FROM TIM / ANDRE

Tim: “We had to make some changes in the practice session with the seat position and everything else to accommodate Andre. It needs a little bit more work at this stage so we can both get comfortable. It was a little hard to get a read on the car. We need to tune up as best we can and try and get the car right for us tomorrow.”

Andre: “I got about 5 laps and feel a lot more comfortable in the car. I feel like I can definitely do the job tomorrow.”
